How to play Gelt Together
Collect the most chocolate gelt
Two players start with 12 chocolate coins each and ante one into the pot. Take turns spinning: Nun (נ) does nothing, Gimmel (ג) takes the whole pot, Hey (ה) takes half rounded up, and Shin (ש) puts one in. When the pot empties, both players ante one again. A player who runs out of gelt is out; the other takes the pot and wins. After 40 spins, split the remaining pot equally (an odd coin stays on the snack table); the most gelt wins, or equal stacks draw. Gelt is only for this table and has no cash value.
