Grind the rival to two pieces
First take turns placing your nine pieces on empty points. Then slide a piece along a line to an adjacent empty point. Any time you complete a mill — three of your pieces on one marked row — remove one of the rival's pieces that is not itself in a mill. Reduce the rival to two pieces, or leave them with no legal move, and you win. A side down to three pieces may fly a piece to any empty point.
